JACKSONVILLE STORY 6
Our Unhoused Neighbors Belong in Jacksonville’s Future: Jacksonville community vision 6

This campaign image opens a larger conversation about our unhoused neighbors belong in jacksonville’s future. It is an illustrative vision, not evidence of a completed project, endorsement or approved public expenditure.
Measure whether the system actually helps
Contracts and programs should report understandable outcomes: prevention of first-time homelessness, time from assessment to placement, successful exits to permanent housing, housing stability, returns to homelessness, connection to benefits and care, veteran outcomes, shelter safety and resident experience. Public reporting must protect personal information.
The goal is not to celebrate activity while people remain stuck. It is to shorten the time a neighbor is unhoused, prevent more families from reaching crisis and help people regain safe, stable lives. Jacksonville should publish what works, correct what does not and respect the independent roles of service providers, Jacksonville Housing, the regional Continuum of Care and other public agencies.
What Jacksonville residents should expect
Every campaign idea should identify the public need, legal authority, expected cost, funding path, responsible partners and measurements residents can inspect. The administration would listen before acting, distinguish a proposal from an approval and report delays honestly.
This visual story connects ambition to everyday service: safer neighborhoods, lower costs, better city services and opportunity that reaches the whole city. Residents should challenge the assumptions, examine the full article and help improve the plan.
