Jacksonville: A Monumental City of the Future: Jacksonville community vision 6

This campaign image opens a larger conversation about jacksonville: a monumental city of the future. It is an illustrative vision, not evidence of a completed project, endorsement or approved public expenditure.

Competing for championship boxing and global sports-entertainment events

My administration would build a professional event-recruitment team to compete for world championship boxing, NCAA championship rounds and Final Fours, WrestleMania, AEW All In and other major events. Winning a bid cannot be guaranteed. It requires suitable venues, hotel-room blocks, transportation, production capacity, security, promoter relationships, sponsorship, financial discipline and a credible host committee.

Every proposal must include an independent economic-impact method, a clear cost ceiling, public-safety reimbursement, local-business participation and protection against open-ended taxpayer risk. We should pursue events that strengthen Jacksonville’s brand and economy, but we should walk away from deals whose costs exceed realistic public value.

What Jacksonville residents should expect

Every campaign idea should identify the public need, legal authority, expected cost, funding path, responsible partners and measurements residents can inspect. The administration would listen before acting, distinguish a proposal from an approval and report delays honestly.

This visual story connects ambition to everyday service: safer neighborhoods, lower costs, better city services and opportunity that reaches the whole city. Residents should challenge the assumptions, examine the full article and help improve the plan.
