VOLUNTEER & EVENT SUPPORT
Transportation that supports the mission.

The proposed SUV team would support scheduled events, trained volunteers, approved campaign materials and accessibility needs across Jacksonville’s large geographic area. These are campaign concepts—not official city vehicles.
Eight operating standards
- Authorized campaign use only
- Licensed drivers and current insurance
- Written dispatch and passenger logs
- Seat belts and capacity limits
- No mixing of city and campaign resources
- Treasurer review of expenses and in-kind support
- Secure handling of campaign materials
- Public event and parking compliance
From dispatch to return
Each assignment would identify the event, driver, passengers, materials, route, parking plan, emergency contact and expected return. A coordinator would avoid duplicated trips and group nearby activities to reduce cost. Vehicles would not be used for personal errands, intimidation, emergency response or any representation of government authority.
The value of support transportation is practical: Jacksonville covers a wide area, campaign events happen in many neighborhoods, and volunteers need a dependable way to move approved materials and reach scheduled activities. The measure of success is not how impressive a motorcade looks; it is whether residents receive accurate information and volunteers can serve safely.
Final fleet size and design depend on budget, written quotes, insurance, law and campaign-finance review. Political advertisement paid for and approved by Fitz Desprez, Republican, for Mayor.
